Texas Amplification

What we do...

Texas Amplification is an online business for Vintage Amp circuit boards to complete Vintage Amp builds. Need just a mainboard or a fully ready to play vintage amp? Not a problem. We will even build you a complete, tested and burnt in chassis for your cabinet as well. All builds are fully inspected before approval to be shipped out. Customer satisfaction is our primary goal. Hopefully navigation of our website will be of ease to you, as in the future as we grow. Follow the link at the bottom of the page to contact us.

   OUR BADGE OF QUALITY

Whether it be basic tube changing and biasing to completely building main circuit boards, quality is put into every aspect. New old stock capacitors, pots, resistors, cloth pull back wiring, Cinch tube sockets and much more can be aquired to put your vintage tube amps back to stock working order and appearance. Our stock of Allen Bradley carbon composite resistors is huge to fit your need for that good old tube amp tone that will last for years to come. Whatever ever it takes, we can build it. Vintage 50's and 60's parts not for sale.

TRANSFORMERS - The Heart and Soul of your Amp

We have now hooked up with Mercury Magnetics for your transformer needs. Whether you are replacing a transformer or getting a 1960's Fender blackface Tube amp built by us. Now you have the choice of top of the line transformers installed in your build. Variable colors of powder coated endbells availiable. Below is a picture of all four transformers in Hammertone Silver.

Cabinetry

All our cabinets are made from carefully selected solid pine. The shell pieces are fingerjointed just as Fender did in alI pre CBS cabinets. The inside is stained a dark brown just like the originals. Good quality domestic plywood is very hard to find, and since particle board has proven to deteriorate after a few short decades, the baffles are built out of premium 1/2" imported Birch plywood with a 1/4" Birch strip around the perimeter. Back panels are also made of premium imported plywood and stained to match the inside of the cabinet. In the top of the cabinets, a layer of screen material is installed to shield against RF frequencies, as was taught to us by the Master, Leo. Here are some pics of some recently built 1964 Vibroverb cabs loaded with a vintage JBL D130F 15" speaker and all hardware. Including reverb tank and bag.

Here is one of our finished reproduction Fender cabinets with aged grill cloth. A beautiful 1966 reproduction Princeton Reverb.
